TO CONGRATULATE THE REVEREND AND MRS. MCKINLEY RAVENELL ON THEIR TWENTY-EIGHTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND TO EXTEND TO THEM BEST WISHES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF LOVE AND HAPPINESS.
Whereas, the Reverend McKinley Ravenell and Sandra D. Gilliard Ravenell are celebrating twenty-eight years of devotion, love, and partnership in marriage; and
Whereas, they are the proud and loving parents of four sons: McKinley Kendrick, Frederick, Bryan, and Ryan and a daughter-in-law Moronica Rivers Ravenell; and
Whereas, Reverend Ravenell was called to the ministry in 1987 and following his religious education at Morris College School of Religion in Sumter was ordained on January 7, 1990; and
Whereas, Reverend Ravenell has passionately served the Lord and his congregations as pastor of Elem Missionary Baptist Church of Harleyville, where he has served for the past ten years, and of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for the past five years; and
Whereas, the Reverend and Mrs. Ravenell, through their unfailing love and devotion to one another and their commitment to Christ, have led exemplary lives, dedicated to spreading the Word and providing love and service to others; and
Whereas, the Ravenell's are greatly respected and admired for their selfless service and endless contributions which have immeasurably enriched their churches, communities, family, and friends; and
Whereas, the General Assembly is pleased to have the opportunity to recognize and honor this loving couple in joyful celebration of their twenty-eight years of marriage. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the Reverend and Mrs. McKinley Ravenell on their twenty-eighth wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for many more years of love and happiness.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Reverend and Mrs. McKinley Ravenell.
