TO COMMEND HARRY TURNER FOR PROMOTING BEACH MUSIC THROUGHOUT SOUTH CAROLINA AND THE WORLD AND TO PROCLAIM HIM AN "AMBASSADOR OF BEACH MUSIC".
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives would like to commend Harry Turner for promoting beach music throughout South Carolina and the world; and
Whereas, he has taken beach music, the official popular music of South Carolina, to new levels of recognition, and is President of Beach Music Association International; and
Whereas, he is not only a preeminent beach music consultant, manager, and promoter, he also is the acclaimed author of This Magic Moment, an authentic anthology of beach music, rock'n roll, and doo-wop; and
Whereas, on February 21, 2002, Harry Turner celebrates his sixtieth birthday; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives would like to recognize his exceptional communication skills and contributions to beach music and proclaim him as an "Ambassador of Beach Music". Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend Harry Turner for promoting beach music throughout South Carolina and the world and hereby proclaim him an "Ambassador of Beach Music".
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Harry Turner.
