TO CONGRATULATE AND EXTEND APPRECIATION TO MISS LINDSEY MARIE JACKSON, MISS SOUTH CAROLINA CRIME STOPPERS FOR 2002, FOR HER OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE STATE, SOUTH CAROLINA CRIME STOPPERS, AND SOUTH CAROLINA LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS DURING THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER 18, 2001 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 19, 2002.
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives applaud Miss Lindsey Jackson for her tireless efforts in making South Carolina a safer place for our families; and
Whereas, Miss South Carolina Crime Stoppers has given many hours of her own time, often requiring much extra effort to achieve her academic and athletic goals as a high school senior; and
Whereas, during her travels around this great State visiting local Crime Stopper programs, discussing Crime Stopper topics with the media, or promoting Crime Stoppers in our middle and high schools, she has represented South Carolina Crime Stoppers as its spokesperson in the finest traditions, demonstrating both compassion for her fellow citizens and concern for our state's law enforcement officers; and
Whereas, during her service Miss Jackson has continued to inform the public that "Crime Stoppers wants your information not your name", and that anonymous Crime Stoppers may receive a reward of up to one thousand dollars for information that leads to an arrest or recovery of stolen property or narcotics; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and commend Miss South Carolina Crime Stoppers, Lindsey Marie Jackson. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, congratulate and extend their appreciation to Miss South Carolina Crime Stoppers 2002, Lindsey Marie Jackson, for her service to her state as a crime fighter who is making a difference.
Be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be forwarded to Miss Lindsey Marie Jackson and to the South Carolina Crime Stoppers Association.
