TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE DR. LINDA CRABBE, A PEDIATRICIAN IN SUMTER, FOR RECEIVING THE 2002 PHYSICIAN AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE.
Whereas, Dr. Linda Crabbe was honored with the 2002 Physician Award for Outstanding Excellence at the South Carolina Medical Association meeting in Charleston; and
Whereas, Dr. Crabbe is a pediatrician who primarily serves children with developmental delays and patients with Attention Deficit Disorder; and
Whereas, Dr. Crabbe received a degree in Biology from the College of Charleston and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1982; and
Whereas, after a residency at the United States Air Force Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi, and a fellowship in Cincinnati, Dr. Crabbe was on the medical staff at the United States Air Force Medical Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio; and
Whereas, she began working as a developmental pediatrician at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in 1992 and was instrumental in bringing First Sound Newborn Hearing Screening to Tuomey as a pilot program that is now used throughout the State; and
Whereas, working in BabyNet and Family Support Services, Dr. Crabbe provides appropriate care to developmentally delayed children; and
Whereas, Dr. Crabbe is active in the Sumter community as a member of the Junior Welfare League and a volunteer track and field coach at Wilson Hall. She also serves on the boards of trustees for the Sumter YMCA, Wilson Hall School, and Bank of America; and
Whereas, Dr. Crabbe is married to Mark M. Crabbe, M.D. and has four daughters; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives is pleased to recognize Dr. Linda Crabbe, an exceptional physician, considerate humanitarian, and compassionate volunteer, for her prestigious award. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend and congratulate Dr. Linda Crabbe, a pediatrician in Sumter, for receiving the 2002 Physician Award for Outstanding Service.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Linda Crabbe of Sumter.
