Deliberations were opened with prayer as follows:

Lord God, we pray for people throughout the world: for those that prosper that they may give thanks to You; for those that struggle that they might not hope in vain; for the poor that they might have enough to live; and for all people that they might know God. Give us the vision to see all creation as a gift of Your never failing love and to receive it with gratitude and use it aright. Accept, Heavenly Father, our unending praise and thanksgiving for all Your blessings to us. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
