A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO DIRECT THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE TO STUDY THE VIABILITY OF ESTABLISHING AN INLAND INTERMODAL PORT IN THE VICINITY OF THE INTERSECTION OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS 95 AND 26 AND TO REPORT ITS FINDINGS TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON JANUARY 13, 2004.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The Department of Commerce is directed to study the viability of establishing an inland intermodal port in the vicinity of the intersection of Interstate Highways 95 and 26 and to submit a written report of its findings and recommendations to the General Assembly on January 13, 2004.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
