VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON LEARNING OF THE DEATH OF MR. DONALD C. "CHRIS" MYERS OF LEXINGTON, AND EXTEND THEIR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, Donald C. "Chris" Myers of Lexington died on Friday, February 14, 2003, at the age of twenty-nine; and
Whereas, born in Columbia, Mr. Myers was the son of Donald V. Myers and Vance Padgett Myers; and
Whereas, he was a graduate of Lexington High School in the class of 1992 and was also a graduate of the University of South Carolina class of 1996; and
Whereas, Chris Myers was a member of the Gamecock Club and an avid Gamecock fan; and
Whereas, Chris was employed with the South Carolina Department of Public Safety-DMV. He was inducted into the International Who's Who of Professional Administrators and was presented the Key to the City in 1996 by Lexington Mayor Eli Mack; and
Whereas, Chris is survived by his parents of Lexington, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Padgett of Gaffney, his aunt, Kathy Owens of Spartanburg, an uncle, Leon C. Myers of Columbia; his great aunts, Betty Jean Cribb of West Columbia, Carolyn Anderson of Chapin, and Kathleen Hampton of Orlando, Florida; and
Whereas, loved and highly respected by all who knew him, Chris will be sorely missed. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon learning of the death of Mr. Donald C. "Chris" Myers of Lexington, and extend their deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.
Be it also resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of the late Donald C. "Chris" Myers, of Lexington.
