VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
EXPRESSING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO JESSIE RINE DAVIS BRIGHT OF COLLETON COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF HER EIGHTIETH BIRTHDAY ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, 2003, AND WISHING FOR HER CONTINUED GOOD HEALTH AND MUCH HAPPINESS IN THE YEARS TO COME.
Whereas, birthdays are joyous occasions to be shared with one's family and friends, and the members of the General Assembly are honored to recognize this very special day on which Jessie Rine Davis Bright celebrated eighty years of a full and wonderful life; and
Whereas, Mrs. Jessie Rine Davis Bright was born on March 5, 1923, to Jimmy Rodgers Davis and Julia "Dude" Sanders Davis in Colleton County where she has resided throughout her life; and
Whereas, Mrs. Bright was the faithful and dutiful wife of Herbert G. Bright for over fifty-nine years. She is the mother of nine wonderful and deeply cherished children; and
Whereas, Mrs. Bright has twenty-three grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren who bring great joy to her life. She is gifted with the art of quilt making and shares this gift with her many loved ones; and
Whereas, Mrs. Bright is a loyal and faithful member of the Isaiah United Methodist Church, and has given tremendously to her church and to the community through the Colleton County Council on Aging; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations to notice this milestone in the life of so distinguished a daughter of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, express their congratulations to Jessie Rine Davis Bright of Colleton County on the occasion of her eightieth birthday on Wednesday, March 5, 2003, and wish for her continued good health and much happiness in the years to come.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Jessie Rine Davis Bright of Colleton County.
