TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE THE MEMBERS OF THE JACKSON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT UPON THE CELEBRATION OF THEIR FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY, TO THANK THEM FOR ALL THEY DO FOR THEIR COMMUNITY, AND TO EXTEND TO THEM BEST WISHES IN ALL THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, it is with great pleasure that we recognize South Carolinians who are dedicated to giving their time and energy to helping protect our communities and the people of the Palmetto State; and
Whereas, it is appropriate to recognize the great achievements and lasting service of the people who volunteer to risk their own lives to ensure the safety of the citizens of this State; and
Whereas, since its beginning fifty years ago, the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department has seen numerous changes in equipment and technology and has grown in skills and training to provide vital assistance throughout the Jackson community; and
Whereas, the members of the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department are instilled with a sense of duty and unparalleled bravery as they selflessly undertake to protect the citizens of their community from the perils and tragedies of fire; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are proud to take this opportunity to recognize the many accomplishments and contributions of the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department on the momentous occasion of its Fiftieth Anniversary and are happy to know that the people of South Carolina are safer because of its efforts. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honor and recognize the members of the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department upon the celebration of their Fiftieth Anniversary, thank the members for all they do for their community, and extend our best wishes in all their future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department.
