A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAYS MISSED ON JANUARY 25, 26, AND 27, 2004, BY THE STUDENTS OF A SCHOOL IN THE DARLINGTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO SNOW, ICE, OR INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Missed school days exempt
SECTION 1. The school days missed on January 25, 26, and 27, 2004, by the students of a school in the Darlington County School District when the school was closed due to snow, ice, or inclement weather conditions are exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 20th day of April, 2004.
Approved the 22nd day of April, 2004.
