TO REAPPORTION THE ELECTION DISTRICTS FROM WHICH THE TRUSTEES OF THE EDGEFIELD COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT ARE ELECTED AND DESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THESE ELECTION DISTRICTS ARE DELINEATED.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, beginning with the election conducted in 2004, the seven defined single-member election districts from which each member of the Edgefield County School District must reside in and be elected by the qualified electors of that district are as shown on the official map designated as S-37-00-04 prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
