Whereas, to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout requires hard work and extreme determination, yet the achievement is a great honor for those who attain it; and

Whereas, Adam Ellis Weeks, the son of Boyd and Ki Weeks, is to be awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in a court of honor on May 15, 2004, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Walterboro; and

Whereas, a member of Troop 686 which is sponsored by the Bethel Methodist Church in Walterboro, Mr. Weeks is also a 2003 graduate of Colleton High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Vocational Technical Honor Society; and

Whereas, upon graduation from Colleton High School, Mr. Weeks entered the University of South Carolina at Aiken where he intends to pursue a double business major; and

Whereas, Adam Weeks is an example of a humanitarian whose goal is not only to better himself through his work with the Boy Scouts, but also to better his community, and the Palmetto State is proud to call him one of its own. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honor and congratulate Adam Ellis Weeks on being awarded the rank of Eagle Scout by the Boy Scouts of America on May 15, 2004, and extend best wishes to him in all of his future endeavors.
