AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 56-3-1010, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO DEFINITION OF TERMS CONCERNING CORPORATE-OWNED FLEET MOTOR VEHICLES, SO AS TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM "FLEET".
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Corporate-owned fleet motor vehicles
SECTION 1. Section 56-3-1010(1) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 459 of 1996, is further amended to read:
"(1) 'Fleet' means fifty or more marked private passenger motor vehicles or property carrying vehicles with empty weight of not more than twenty-two thousand pounds and a gross vehicle weight of not more than twenty-six thousand pounds, owned or long-term leased by a corporation or other legal entity, and registered in this State pursuant to this article."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
