VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO NAME THE PORTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 121 IN NEWBERRY COUNTY FROM QUAKER ROAD IN THE SILVERSTREET COMMUNITY TO COLONIAL DRIVE IN THE WHITMIRE COMMUNITY "VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY" AND TO ERECT APPROPRIATE SIGNS OR MARKERS ALONG THIS PORTION OF THE HIGHWAY CONTAINING THE WORDS "VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY".
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina request the Department of Transportation to name the portion of South Carolina Highway 121 in Newberry County from Quaker Road in the Silverstreet community to Colonial Drive in the Whitmire community as the "Veterans Memorial Highway" and to erect appropriate signs or markers along this portion of the highway containing the words "Veterans Memorial Highway".
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
