The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 68:55: "Awesome is God in His sanctuary, the God of Israel; He gives power and strength to His people. Blessed be God."
Let us pray. Dear God, as we go about the task of doing the work of Your people, let us not forget it is You who gives us strength and wisdom to accomplish our duties. Bless our work to Your honor and glory. Hear us, as we pray. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
