The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for today is from Proverbs 3:6: "In all Your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight Your paths."
Let us pray. Almighty God, Your mercies are new to us every day. Fill this body of the most high with Your light that others may see Your light in them as they work together for the good of all people in the State. Be present at our sessions to give courage and wisdom. Hear us as we pray. Amen.
