The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for today is from Genesis 9:9: "I now establish My covenant with you and with your decendants after you."
Let us pray. Lord, Our Creator, every time I look to the sky, help me to remember Your great love. Help me through this day to do the work You have assigned. Give me encouragement to offer my help to others who may be in need. Bless our State and Nation. Give our leaders the wisdom and courage to lead. Protect our defenders of freedom. Hear my prayer, O God. Amen.
