The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for today is from Psalm 99:5: "Extol the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool. Holy is He!"
Let us pray. O God, You promised to always be with us. Help us each day to take time to rest in Your loving presence, there to learn Your will for us. Bless each of these people with Your wisdom, courage, and integrity, that Your work may be accomplished for the good of all. Bless our State, Nation, and our leaders. Watch over our defenders of freedom and keep them safe. Hear us as we pray. Amen.
