The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 139:24: "See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
Let us pray. In the midst of things we do not understand, O Lord, give us a living faith that trusts in Your truth and power. Guide us through this day with Your mighty hand upon us. Bless and keep in Your care our defenders of freedom and this State and Nation. Hear us, O Lord. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
