The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for today is from Psalm 123:1: "I lift up my eyes to You, to You whose throne is in heaven."
Let us pray. As another week draws to a close, we thank You, Gracious Lord, for Your multiplied blessings which are new to us each morning. Provide Your loving protection on Your children. Protect our defenders of freedom in danger and preside over the leaders of our State and Nation. Hear our prayer, O God. Amen.
