The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for today is from Genesis 5:24: "Enoch walked with God."
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, walk with us this day as we do the work for the people. Protect us from all harm and forgive us those things we should not do. Help us to assist our fellow workers to accomplish what has been given to them. Be with our leaders of this State and Nation and hold our defenders of freedom in Your protective arms. Hear us as we pray. Amen.
