The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 29:4: "The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic."
Let us pray. Lord God, Heavenly Father, as we come to the end of our work week, we give thanks for Your guidance and blessings. Help each of us to live as You have blessed us. Give us confidence and assurance to do Your will. Bless our leaders of the State and Nation and keep our defenders of freedom safe. Hear our prayer, O Mighty One. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

ADJOURNMENT

At 10:15 a.m. the House in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER adjourned to meet at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, January 27.
