To whom was referred a Bill (S. 1114) to amend Section 7-7-100, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the designation of voting precincts in Barnwell County, so, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-100, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN BARNWELL COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE CERTAIN VOTING PRECINCTS IN BARNWELL COUNTY AND REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 7-7-100(B) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 86 of 2001, is further amended to read:

"(B)    The precinct lines defining the precincts provided in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistical Services Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board designated as P-11-01 P-11-04 and as shown on copies of the official map provided to the State Election Commission, the Barnwell County Board of Voter Registration, and the Barnwell County Election Commission."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
