A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO NAME THE PORTION OF UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 221 IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 26 TO HEARON CIRCLE "MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. MEMORIAL HIGHWAY", AND TO INSTALL APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS PORTION OF HIGHWAY CONTAINING THE WORDS "MARIN LUTHER KING, JR. MEMORIAL HIGHWAY".

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That    the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina request the Department of Transportation to name the portion of United States Highway 221 in Spartanburg County from its intersection with Interstate Highway 26 to Hearon Circle "Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Highway", and to install appropriate markers or signs along this portion of highway containing the words "Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Highway".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
