A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 12-21-4070, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT FOR ANY BINGO LICENSE TO BE ISSUED THE ORGANIZATION, PROMOTER, OR INDIVIDUAL MUST HAVE BEEN DOMICILED IN THIS STATE FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS OR, IN THE CASE OF AN ORGANIZATION, TO HAVE BEEN ACTIVE IN THIS STATE FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS, SO AS TO REDUCE THE MINIMUM TIME FOR AN ORGANIZATION TO HAVE BEEN ACTIVE IN THIS STATE FROM AT LEAST THREE TO AT LEAST TWO YEARS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 12-21-4070 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 12-21-4070.    No license, as provided by this article, may be issued to an organization, promoter, or individual that has not been domiciled in this State for at least three years immediately preceding the license application. In the case of the organization, the organization must also have been active in this State for at least three two years."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
