TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 7-5-175 SO AS TO REQUIRE THAT THE BOARD OF VOTER REGISTRATION IN EACH COUNTY PROVIDE VOTER REGISTRATION APPLICATION FORMS IN EACH HIGH SCHOOL IN THE COUNTY FOR USE BY STUDENTS WHO ATTAIN THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 5, Title 7 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 7-5-175. The board of voter registration in each county, or the entity charged by law with registering an elector, shall provide voter registration application forms in each high school in the county for use by students who attain the age of eighteen."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
