TO PROVIDE THAT EACH BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE GREENVILLE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2003-2004 IS AUTHORIZED TO FORGIVE UP TO TWO SCHOOL DAYS MISSED BY A SCHOOL OF THE DISTRICT BECAUSE OF SNOW, ICE, OR EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 59-1-430(B) of the 1976 Code, each Board of Trustees of the Greenville County School District for school year 2003-2004 is authorized to forgive up to two school days missed by a school of the district because of snow, ice, or extreme weather conditions. If the board forgives these school days missed, the requirements of Section 59-1-430(B) must be met.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
