A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-21-134 SO AS TO ESTABLISH A NO WAKE ZONE IN MURRELLS INLET IN GEORGETOWN COUNTY BETWEEN NAUTICAL DAY MARKER 21 AND NAUTICAL DAY MARKER 41.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 21, Title 50 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-21-134.    (A)    There is established a no wake zone in Murrells Inlet in Georgetown County between Nautical Day Marker 21 and Nautical Day Marker 41.

(B)    The no wake zone boundaries must be clearly marked with signs. The signs must be designed and installed as specified by the Department of Natural Resources."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
