A SENATE RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SINCERE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE UPON THE DEATH OF MRS. ALMA T. PRICE OF CHESTER, SOUTH CAROLINA, AND TO CONVEY THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Whereas, the members of the Senate were deeply saddened by the death of Mrs. Alma T. Price of Chester, South Carolina who passed away at her home on March 29, 2006; and

Whereas, Mrs. Price, a native of Chester, was born in 1940 to Mrs. Helen Carter Yarborough and the late Mr. Shelby Yarborough; and

Whereas, she was a graduate of Chester High School, a wonderful mother and homemaker, a devoted member and skilled pianist at New Hope United Methodist Church, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the United Methodist Women; and

Whereas, she is survived by her mother, husband Mr. Roger Price; two sons, John D. Teague and Shelby Price; two daughters, Helen Abercrombie and Alexa Jacobs; and six grandchildren; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate would like the Price family to know that their thoughts and prayers are with them in this time of sorrow. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, express their sincere sorrow upon the death of Mrs. Alma Price, and wish to convey the deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to her husband, Mr. Roger Price.
