A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO SALUTE AND THANK MR. DENNIS LEE, OF CHARLESTON, FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA BEER INDUSTRY AND TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA BEER WHOLESALERS ASSOCIATION.

Whereas, Mr. Dennis Lee, of Charleston, has worked in the beer industry throughout his lifetime, beginning with the business established by his father, Henry J. Lee, Sr., named Henry J. Lee Distributors; and

Whereas, Mr. Lee became president and owner of Henry J. Lee Distributors in 1987; and

Whereas, Mr. Lee successfully expanded the business established by his father through the purchases of Bay Beverage Distributors and the Charleston Miller/Heileman Distributor in 1989 and Momentum Distributors in 1991; and

Whereas, as a result of Mr. Lee's innovation and business expertise, Henry J. Lee Distributors currently serves seven counties along the South Carolina coast, from Charleston to Georgia, and offers beverages from twelve suppliers, including Miller, Coors, Pabst, Gambrinus, and Diageo; and

Whereas, Mr. Lee, as well as his father, Henry J. Lee, Sr., and his brother, Henry J. Lee, Jr., actively participated in the South Carolina Beer Wholesalers Association, and each served on the Board of Directors and a term as Chairman of the Board. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That by this resolution, the members of the Senate salute and thank Mr. Dennis Lee for his contribution to the South Carolina beer industry and to the South Carolina Beer Wholesalers Association.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Dennis Lee.
