VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 20-7-959 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A COURT ORDER ESTABLISHING PATERNITY MAY BE REVERSED UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 20-7-959. Upon its motion or that of an interested party, an order establishing paternity may be reversed by the court upon presentment of evidence not available at the hearing establishing paternity that shows the order establishing paternity was in error."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
