TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND HARRY L. PARKER, RESPECTED CPA, COMMUNITY LEADER, AND LOVING FAMILY MAN, FOR HIS MORE THAN THIRTY-FIVE YEARS IN THE FIELD OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING UPON HIS RETIREMENT, AND TO WISH HIM GOOD HEALTH AND IMMENSE HAPPINESS IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Harry L. Parker retires from his position as a partner in the Hartsville and Columbia offices of Moore Kirkland and Beauston, L.L.P., Certified Public Accountants and Consultants; and
Whereas, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of South Carolina, Mr. Parker received his Certified Public Account Certification August 17, 1965, and has performed business valuations for various clients as an esteemed member of the accounting and banking communities for many years; and
Whereas, throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Parker worked for six years with Big Six firms and has effectively served clients in auto dealership, retail, construction, real estate development, manufacturing, and service industries; and
Whereas, Mr. Parker has worked as Financial Vice President and Internal Auditor for two banks and for two years served as a consultant for the Governor of South Carolina charged with reduction of growth in state government; and
Whereas, a respected leader in the field of accounting, Mr. Parker has taught several professional education courses and is a member of various accounting committees and associations. He is also a member of the Rotary Club and the Bethel United Methodist Church; and
Whereas, Mr. Parker and his wife, Sarah, have three children, Legette Parker, Camille Parker, and Diane Parker Duggan; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are proud to recognize such an outstanding role model and South Carolinian as Harry L. Parker upon his retirement. Now, therefore
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and commend Harry L. Parker, respected CPA, community leader, and loving family man, for his more than thirty-five years in the field of public accounting and consulting upon his retirement, and wish him good health and immense happiness in all his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Harry L. Parker.
