A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THEODORE "DOC" HOUGH OF DARLINGTON COUNTY UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AND TO WISH HIM GOOD HEALTH AND IMMENSE HAPPINESS IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, after having served with distinction for over twenty-three years, Theodore "Doc" Hough is retiring from the Darlington County Board of Elections and Registration; and

Whereas, Doc Hough served for many years as a poll manager at the Hartsville #6 Precinct, prior to being appointed to the Darlington County Board of Registration on June 18, 1982; and

Whereas, he served on the Darlington County Board of Registration from 1982 until the Registration Board and the Election Commission were combined in 1992, and he has served continuously on the Darlington County Board of Elections and Registration since it was combined; and

Whereas, Doc Hough has been an invaluable asset to the Darlington County Board of Elections and Registration as he is a person truly interested in having fair and honest elections who speaks with wisdom and acts in an easygoing manner; and

Whereas, he is not just well-liked in his local community of Darlington and the State, but he is indeed beloved especially by the members of the Darlington Board of Elections and Registration and the staff of the Board; and

Whereas, the South Carolina General Assembly is pleased to pause to honor Theodore "Doc" Hough on his distinguished record of community service and to recognize the many years in which he gave so unselfishly of his time and talents to his local community and the State. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honor and recognize the accomplishments of Theodore "Doc" Hough of Darlington County upon the occasion of his retirement and to wish him good health and immense happiness in all his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Theodore "Doc" Hough.
