A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 5-7-320 SO AS TO PROHIBIT A MUNICIPALITY FROM REQUIRING THAT A SERVICE STATION USE ONLY A PREPAYMENT PROCEDURE FOR GASOLINE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 7, Title 5 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 5-7-320.    A municipality may not require a service station to only offer a prepayment procedure for the payment of gasoline dispensed at a service station."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
