A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO WISH HAZEL LEGGETT-TYNDALL OF LEXINGTON COUNTY A HAPPY FORTIETH BIRTHDAY, TO RECOGNIZE HER FOR HER DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AS A TOWN COUNCILWOMAN, AND TO CONGRATULATE HER ON BEING ELECTED MAYOR PRO TEMPORE OF THE TOWN OF LEXINGTON.

Whereas, Hazel Leggett-Tyndall recently experienced the solemn occasion of her fortieth birthday on May 22, 2005; and

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that the House of Representatives honors those individuals who give of themselves for the good of their individual communities as public servants, making the State of South Carolina a better place to live; and

Whereas, recognizing her extraordinary ability to motivate people to achieve great things for the good of the community, the Lexington Town Council elected Hazel Leggett-Tyndall Mayor Pro Tempore; and

Whereas, originally elected in a special election to fill an unexpired term, Hazel Leggett-Tyndall has served with distinction on the Lexington Town Council since April 1998. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, wish Hazel Leggett-Tyndall of Lexington County a happy fortieth birthday, recognize her for her distinguished service as a town councilwoman, and congratulate her on being elected Mayor Pro Tempore of the Town of Lexington.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Honorable Hazel Leggett-Tyndall, Mayor Pro Tempore of the Town of Lexington.
