A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE THE REVEREND R. C. OGLESBY FOR HIS MANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND SIX YEARS OF SERVICE AS PASTOR OF ANTIOCH BAPTIST CHURCH IN SALUDA, SOUTH CAROLINA.

Whereas, the Reverend R. C. Oglesby, Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Saluda, South Carolina, has been a faithful, spiritual, and financial servant of his church for the past six years; and

Whereas, he had a varied and interesting work experience working as a part-time police officer, volunteer fireman, and serving on the Hart County Board of Commissioners; and

Whereas, Reverend Oglesby also has worked at the Hart Telephone Company, serving currently as Plant Manager; and

Whereas, he also is currently serving as owner/operator of Oglesby Moving; and

Whereas, Reverend Oglesby received education opportunities and has obviously benefited from such instructions at Ohio State University, United Telephone Company, Oklahoma State University, Hart County High School, and Hart County Training School; and

Whereas, Reverend Oglesby's religious experience includes joining the Trustee Board at Calvary Baptist Church where he was president in 1976; and

Whereas, he has held positions as President of the Usher Board, a Deacon, Treasurer, and Chairman of the Deacon Board at Calvary Baptist Church; and

Whereas, Reverend Oglesby exemplifies the best of a spiritual servant of God and how selfless service rewards those who give of their time to Him. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives recognize the Reverend R. C. Oglesby for his many accomplishments and six years of service as Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Saluda, South Carolina.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Reverend R. C. Oglesby.
