VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO PROVIDE THAT FOR A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS JOINT RESOLUTION, A MEMBER OF THE SENATE OR THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MAY NOT INTRODUCE LEGISLATION, NOR MAY EITHER BODY OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY CONSIDER LEGISLATION THAT ALLOWS THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES TO ISSUE A NEW SPECIAL MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE PLATE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. For a period of two years after the effective date of this Joint Resolution, a member of the Senate or the House of Representatives may not introduce legislation, nor may either body of the General Assembly consider legislation that allows the Department of Motor Vehicles to issue a new special motor vehicle license plate.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
