A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR CHRISTOPHER DANIEL FARISH OF GAFFNEY HIGH SCHOOL FOR HIS OUTSTANDING WORK AS A STUDENT AND COMMUNITY LEADER, AND TO WISH HIM THE BEST IN ALL FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, it is with great pride that the House of Representatives honors South Carolina youth who have already made significant contributions to their schools and communities; and

Whereas, Christopher Daniel Farish is certainly one such individual, as he has already accomplished many great goals in his relatively short life; and

Whereas, an exceptional Boy Scout, Chris has worked on staff at the National Jamboree of Boy Scouts and received the Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow of the Boy Scouts of America; and

Whereas, remaining tirelessly devoted to the Boy Scouts program, Chris achieved the highest honor in becoming an Eagle Scout; and

Whereas, a dedicated student, Chris has served in the Beta Club for his four years at Gaffney High School; and

Whereas, Chris also attended Boys State at the University of South Carolina in recognition of his unmatched leadership ability; and

Whereas, active in his faith, he is a member of Buford Street Methodist Church; and

Whereas, a Palmetto Fellow Scholarship recipient, Chris is enrolled at the College of Charleston Honors Program and will attend the school in the Fall of 2006; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives is honored to know such a well-rounded young man and expects to hear of great things from him in the coming years. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and honor Christopher Daniel Farish of Gaffney High School for his outstanding work as a student and community leader, and wish him the best in all future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Christopher Daniel Farish.
