VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO COMMEND THE HONORABLE MARIE C. RAWL OF RIDGELAND FOR HER DEVOTED SERVICE TO THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA UPON HER RETIREMENT AS MAGISTRATE OF JASPER COUNTY.
Whereas, the Honorable Marie C. Rawl of Ridgeland has served the citizens of Jasper County with distinction as magistrate for the past seventeen years; and
Whereas, known for her exemplary work ethic and pleasing judicial temperament, she executed the duties of her office with diligence and great pride and never failed to treat all those that came before her with respect and dignity; and
Whereas, Judge Rawl's vast experience and knowledge of the law served to make her an outstanding magistrate, and her presence on the bench will be missed by staff as well as those who will come in contact with the Jasper County Magistrates' Office in the future; and
Whereas, it is appropriate that the members of the South Carolina Senate pause to recognize the many and varied contributions of Judge Marie C. Rawl and would like to publicly recognize and thank this dedicated public servant for her service to her local community, county, and the State. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend the Honorable Marie C. Rawl of Ridgeland for her devoted service to the State of South Carolina upon her retirement as magistrate of Jasper County.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Honorable Marie C. Rawl.
