A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO POSTPONE UNTIL PROPERTY TAX YEAR 2007 THE IMPLEMENTATION OF VALUES DETERMINED IN A COUNTY'S MOST RECENTLY COMPLETED BUT NOT YET IMPLEMENTED COUNTYWIDE APPRAISAL AND EQUALIZATION PLAN.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, implementation of the values determined in the most recently completed countywide appraisal and equalization plan conducted in a county pursuant to Section 12-43-217 of the 1976 Code is postponed until property tax year 2007. This postponement extends to counties in which implementation dates for the most recently completed program have previously been postponed.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
