The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for today is from 1 John 3:11: "This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another."
Let us pray. O Lord, for Your love is shown to us in so many wonderful ways, may this message be our guide. May we understand the wisdom of the truth Your love and laws provide. Bless us this day as we go about the work given for us to do and do it with joy and thanksgiving. Bless and protect our Nation, President, State and her leaders. Keep our defenders of freedom in Your love and care. O Lord, hear our prayer. Amen.
