The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for today is from James 3:13: "Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom."
Let us pray. Lead us this day, O Lord, that we may follow in the steps of the great Master. May we show good deeds to those around us and to those whom we serve. Give us Your guidance and direction as we begin the day. Encourage us as we do the work You have chosen for us. Bless our Nation, our President, our State and our Governor, and all those who lead. Bless and protect our defenders of freedom. O Lord, hear our prayer. Amen.
