To whom was referred a Bill (S. 291) to amend Section 50-9-510, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to licenses authorized for sale by the department, etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass with amendment:
Amend the bill, as and if amended, in Section 50-9-510(15) of the 1976 Code, as contained in SECTION 1, by adding after /dollars / on line 26, page 1 / ; provided, that those persons who have attained the age of sixty-five on or before July 1, 2005, may obtain this license at no cost /
Renumber sections to conform.
Amend title to conform.

TO AMEND SECTION 50-9-510, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO LICENSES AUTHORIZED FOR SALE BY THE DEPARTMENT, SO AS TO REVISE THE AGE AND FEE REQUIREMENTS FOR A STATEWIDE LIFETIME HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 50-9-510(15) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 372 of 1996, is further amended to read:
"(15) A resident of South Carolina who has attained the age of sixty-five sixty-four years may obtain a statewide lifetime hunting and fishing license at no cost from the department for nine dollars. This license includes the privilege of hunting big game, hunting on wildlife management area lands, and state migratory waterfowl and of saltwater fishing."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
