A JOINT RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SPARTANBURG TO MOVE THE STATUE OF REVOLUTIONARY WAR GENERAL DANIEL MORGAN IN CONNECTION WITH THE CITY'S PLAN TO UPGRADE DANIEL MORGAN SQUARE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 10-1-165 of the 1976 Code, the City of Spartanburg may move the statue of Revolutionary War General Daniel Morgan, victor at the Battle of Cowpens, in connection with the city's plan to upgrade Daniel Morgan Square.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
