THE COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY

To whom was referred a Bill (H. 3915) to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 6-11-325 so as to authorize a special purpose district which only provides sewage collection, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass with amendment:

Amend the bill, as and if amended, page 1, by striking lines 25-28, in Section 6-11-325, as contained in SECTION 1, and inserting therein the following:

/        "Section 6-11-325.    A special purpose district which only provides sewage collection and disposal may use any method of financing authorized by law for the construction of sewer lateral collection lines within the district."    /

Renumber sections to conform.

Amend title to conform.

A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 6-11-325 SO AS TO AUTHORIZE A SPECIAL PURPOSE DISTRICT WHICH ONLY PROVIDES SEWAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES TO UTILIZE ANY METHOD OF FINANCING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER LATERAL COLLECTION LINES NOTWITHSTANDING OTHER PROVISIONS OF LAW.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Article 1, Chapter 11, Title 6 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 6-11-325.    Notwithstanding another provision of law, a special purpose district which only provides sewage collection and disposal may use any method of financing the construction of sewer lateral collection lines within the district authorized by law."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
