TO AMEND SECTION 40-11-410, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO GENERAL CONTRACTOR LICENSE CLASSIFICATIONS AND SUBCLASSIFICATIONS, SO AS TO ADD RANGE HOOD INSTALLATION, REPLACEMENT, ALTERATION, AND REPAIR AS A SUBCLASSIFICATION UNDER MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 40-11-410(5) of the 1976 Code is amended by adding an appropriately lettered item at the end to read:
"( ) 'Range Hoods' which includes the installation, replacement, alteration, and repair of range hoods and systems which consist of components necessary to vent steam and smoke from ranges and stoves."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
