Mrs. Ashy was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was born in Syria and immigrated to this country with her family, making many contributions over the years to her new homeland; not the least of which was raising wonderful children who carry on her legacy of service and love. Her son, Tony Ashy, and his family live in Sumter, South Carolina, and have contributed greatly to our community. We adjourn the Senate in Mrs. Ashy's memory, and lift her family in our prayers.
