The Senate assembled at 11:00 A.M., the hour to which it stood adjourned, and was called to order by the ACTING PRESIDENT, Senator CROMER.

ORDERED ENROLLED FOR RATIFICATION

The following Bills were read the third time and having received three readings in both Houses, it was ordered that the titles be changed to that of Acts and enrolled for Ratification:

By prior motion of Senator PINCKNEY, the Bill was read the third time, passed and ordered sent to the House.

Recorded Vote

Senator GROOMS desired to be recorded as voting against the third reading of S. 91l.

Having voted on the prevailing side, Senator PINCKNEY moved to reconsider the vote whereby the Bill was ordered to receive a third reading.

There was no objection.

The Bill was returned to the Local Third Reading Calendar.

MOTION ADOPTED

On motion of Senator LEVENTIS, with unanimous consent, the Senate stood adjourned out of respect to the memory of Mr. Richard A. McGowan of Sumter, S.C., beloved husband of Valerie Yvonne McGowan. Mr. McGowan worked with the U. S. Postal Service and served as pastor of Revival Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He will be missed deeply by his friends, family and all whose lives he touched.

ADJOURNMENT

At 11:45 A.M., on motion of Senator KNOTTS, the Senate adjourned to meet next Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at 12:00 Noon.
