On motion of Senators LOURIE, ALEXANDER, ANDERSON, BRYANT, CAMPSEN, CLEARY, COURSON, CROMER, DRUMMOND, ELLIOTT, FAIR, FORD, GREGORY, GROOMS, HAWKINS, HAYES, HUTTO, JACKSON, KNOTTS, LAND, LEATHERMAN, LEVENTIS, MALLOY, MARTIN, MATTHEWS, McCONNELL, McGILL, MESCHER, MOORE, O'DELL, PATTERSON, PEELER, PINCKNEY, RANKIN, REESE, RICHARDSON, RITCHIE, RYBERG, SCOTT, SETZLER, SHEHEEN, SHORT, J. VERNE SMITH, THOMAS, VERDIN and WILLIAMS, with unanimous consent, the Senate stood adjourned out of respect to the memory of Ellis Ann Speer Johnson, infant daughter of Sara Hunt "Sazy" Ligon Johnson, staff attorney with Legislative Council and Steven Daniel Johnson. Ellis died from complications resulting from Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID) while at Duke University Medical Center.
