VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR REAL ESTATE BROKER RICK ELLIOTT, OF HORRY COUNTY, FOR HIS ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY, AND TO CONGRATULATE THE EMPLOYEES OF HIS COMPANY, ELLIOTT REALTY, FOR BEING NAMED ONE OF THE TOP TEN COMPANIES NATIONWIDE FOR EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE IN THEIR DIVISION DURING 2007.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate were pleased to learn that for the second year Elliott Realty GMAC Real Estate was named one of the top ten companies in its division during 2007 at the national GMAC Home Services Annual Business Conference February 12 to 14, 2008; and
Whereas, in 1959 when Elliott Realty was founded by current Senator Dick Elliott, the company consisted of just Dick Elliott, and today it employs fifty people and one hundred fifty seasonal employees; and
Whereas, Rick Elliott became the company's president in 2003, and despite the growth of Elliott Realty, the company maintains the warmth and friendliness of a small family business; and
Whereas, Elliott Realty offers a broad variety of real estate services in many areas surrounding Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, as well as those in Brunswick County, North Carolina; and
Whereas, with Ernie Derrick as the company's broker-in-charge, the Elliott Realty team has worked together to provide premier services to the Myrtle Beach community; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate acknowledge that this award represents a commitment to excellence, hard work, and quality services delivered by Elliott Realty. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, recognize and commend real estate broker Rick Elliott, of Horry County, for his achievements in the real estate industry, and congratulate the employees of his company, Elliott Realty GMAC Real Estate, for being named one of the top ten companies nationwide for exceptional performance in their division during 2007.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Rick Elliott.
